Opening in 1998, CableSouth began as an idea by our President, Alan Taylor. Working in operations and engineering for Time Warner since 1986, Alan noticed the disconnect between the builders of cable systems and the users. The typical construction company could build a telecommunication system, but had no experience with the true needs of cable providers. Cable providers had specific needs, but no knowledge of the groundwork of their systems. But what if a construction company knew not only how to lay a wire, but also how it would finally be put to use by the provider?
